Unexplored Land

"The International Luncheon," took place on April 15, in Westchester Community College. The event had a capacity for 50 people, but many students came late to the event - including myself. One hour was not enough to talk about India; as India is a magnificent, lovely and fascinating country that awaits to be explored by adventurous people.
Saris - a garment consisting of a length of cotton or silk elaborately draped around the body.

Komala Kotramada Bheemaiah, a native from India, described the contrast of her country. She talked about India's history, languages and religions (to name a few). At the moment, I entered the room I was absorbed by the relaxing and mystical Indian music. Since, I arrived late, I was forced to stand during the exposition of India. Kotramada Bheemaiah, wearing a blue and orange sari, described and demonstrated all the various ways to wrap a sari.

The religions in India are:
  • Hindus
  • Muslim
  • Christians
  • Sikhs
  • Buddhist
  • Jains
After, the exposition to India, we had the privilege of trying tasteful Indian food. The various dishes served, such as: coconut rice, shrimp curry, naan, chicken tikka masala, lamb bryani and  mint sauce represented the northern regions of India.
